GD&T is a language, and like most languages, it may seem complex when first learning to read and write it. It is an often case to ask two or three colleagues for help in “interpreting” a GD&T specification on a drawing and receive two or three “different interpretations”…
Geometrical specifications of a product need to be detailed to a degree where nothing is left open to interpretation. The unfortunate reality is that most of the workforce that engages with mechanical drawings does not have an adequate understanding of this language,
and consequently fears to incorporate it into their daily practice.
Many people read only the GD&T symbols and do not actually understand their implications.
Without fully understanding of the implications, one cannot truly understand the control that the GD&T symbol is there to convey. It is always better to be proactive: it is now the time to improve the understanding and use of GD&T in your company before costly or otherwise painful experiences convinces you to do so!
In short, in GD&T training we offer seminars according to the ISO and ASME Standards, Level 1 and Level2. Additionally, we offer courses for Mechanical Drawing Interpretation and for Tolerancing for Aluminium Extruded Profiles

The course is delivered as an intensive, two‐day programme for users of PC‐DMIS metrology software and applies GD&T from a measurement/ inspection perspective. The aim of this course is to teach how to properly implement geometrical tolerance specifications with PC‐DMIS.
The background and teaching skills of the instructor are the most important factors in selecting a training provider. Especially in the demanding field of GD&T, you need someone with extensive GD&T experience, but also with a lively and down-to-earth style.
