Metal PackagingE.J. PAPADOPOULOS S.A. upgrades their metal packaging quality control

March 27, 2024

With 4 factories in Greece, more than 1,500 employees and a presence in more than 67 countries, E.J. PAPADOPOULOS S.A. is a pioneering manufacturing industry that has been taking care of our nutrition for over 100 years.
Aware of the importance of quality and with a view to its continuous improvement, the beloved company of all age groups, turned to our company for quality control of their metal packaging.
Specifically, E.J. PAPADOPOULOS S.A. was looking to upgrade the equipment they used to inspect the quality of the metal containers that keep their famous Caprice fresh and delicious.

The solution we proposed was the successful SEAMScan by CMC-KUHNKE by INDUSTRIAL PHYSICS. This is a high-resolution optical system for taking images of the double seam, which, in combination with SEAMview software, offers double seam measurements with high accuracy and speed.

Έλεγχος διπλής ραφής

Some features of the SEAMView software:

1. Double seam measurements:

  • Seam thickness
  • Seam height
  • Countersink depth
  • Overlap
  • Short body hook length
  • Cover hook length

2. Create reports in PDF format

Measuring the double seam on our metal containers is a key process of our quality control. We were looking to upgrade our equipment to speed up the measurements, but without sacrificing their reliability and found the solution in INQUALITY who immediately understood our needs. With CMC-KUHNKE’s system we confirm the quality of our vessels with greater ease now.
I would like to thank the INQUALITY team for their support.
